เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ ๕ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๗ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานทีมประเทศไทย ได้จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสเฉลิมพระชมมพรรษาพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ครบ ๘๗ พรรษา ที่บริเวณลานตามันมะห์สุรี โรงแรมรอยัลชูลัน กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยมีนางสาวเสาวลักษณ์ ชัยชูสอนเป็นประธาน มีดาตุกพอล เหล่า เส็ง กวน สมาชิกวุฒิสภาและรัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซียเป็นแขกเกียรติยศ และมีคณะทูตานุทูต ข้าราชการระดับสูง นักธุรกิจชั้นนำ บุคคลในวงการการศึกษา สื่อสารมวลชน และชาวมาเลเซียที่มีความผูกพันกับประเทศไทย ตลอดจนผู้แทนชุมชนไทยในมาเลเซียจากรัฐต่าง ๆ เข้าร่วมงานเพื่อถวายพระพรแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว กว่า ๕๐๐ คน

 

ในโอกาสนี้ ภายหลังพิธีทางการ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้จัดอาหารไทยและเครื่องดื่มเพื่อเลี้ยงรับรอง รวมถึงนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับพระราชกรณียกิจของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว และการแสดงซึ่งกล่าวถึงวิถีชีวิตของชาวไทยและความผูกพันกับสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ตั้งแต่อดีตกาลให้ผู้ที่มาร่วมงานได้รับชม

 

On Friday 5 December 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with Team Thailand Agencies, organized the Reception on the Occasion of the 87th Birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at Taman Mahsuri, the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by Datuk Paul Low Seng Kuan, Minister in Prime Minister's Department of Malaysia, as Guest of Honour and Representative of the Government of Malaysia, and over 500 guests comprising members of the Diplomatic Corps, top civil service officers, business leaders, members of leading educational institutions and media agencies, as well as Malaysian friends of Thailand and members of the Thai community in Malaysia.

 

After the formal proceedings, the participants were able to enjoy the Thai food and beverages served throughout the evening, and the cultural performances and exhibitions that reflected the lifestyles of the Thai people, the work of His Majesty the King, and the relations between the Thai people and the monarchy institution.
